If you are new to fixed wing, it is recommended to make a KT board or EPP practice machine first.
There are many fixed-wing models on Youtube that are made by cutting EPP boards. You can buy them and do a little processing yourself before you can fly them. Don’t buy an airplane that is too small, as it will be difficult to fly. It is recommended for beginners to buy an airplane with a wingspan of 1.3m-1.4m.
Here are some must-haves:
- Glue
- For motors, small aircraft generally use 23 series. You can choose T-Motor’s AS2312 or AS2317.
30A or 40A ESC
- For remote controls, you can choose entry-level models, which don’t need to be too expensive.
- Receiver
- Generally, 2 or 4 servos are needed. Just choose a 9g servo.
You can prepare a few more batteries. Small mAh is easier to fly, while larger mAh can last longer. The choice of battery mAh depends on your needs.
The remaining accessories are generally provided when purchasing an aircraft and are called accessory packages.
You can choose domestically produced remote controls, which are cost-effective, reliable and rich in functions.
For batteries, you can buy only one or two at first, and when you advance, you can buy more according to your needs.
A charger is also a must.
These are all I can think of for the time being, and for novices, these should be enough. During preparation, it is recommended to practice more on the simulator.
