As all know, T-Motor released a freestyle flight controller with Fettec Alpha firmware. It is called G4, with HD and Analog two version. It is suitable for our P2207/2306 V3 motor and P60A V2 ESC. Special designed for freestyle.
Some pilots are using our G4 flight controller to do some big tricks, such as powerloop, dive, etc., but there will be some abnormal noise at the end when the action is performed with a large throttle. Some experienced pilots may think that the D term is adjusted too high when adjusting parameters, but this is not necessarily the case.
This is because our G4 flight control uses Fettec Alpha firmware. (The firmware download address is: https://github.com/FETtec/ESC-Configurator/releases). The old version of the firmware did not filter the remote sensing input signal. However, when we use with the Betaflight, it is recommended that we turn off the ADC filtering of remote sensing. This means that without ADC filtering, a lot of remote sensing noise information will be transmitted to the flight control. Especially when making large freestyle actions, its angular speed is very high, which will amplify such noise even more.
- So how to solve this issue?
It's not too difficult. First we turn off the hardware ADC filtering in the remote control, then we enter the Alpha firmware and download the latest version. There will be a remote sensing input signal smoothing function in the new firmware: Settings, then select RC Setup, and check RC Smoothing. We can turn it as low.
If your remote control has a lot of remote sensing noise, and you use analog VTX (such as our FT800 analog VTX) or low-latency RC links such as ELRS Tracer during flight, you will not feel too much delay. Then you can consider setting the filter intensity to medium or high, but it should be noted that this filter is for the remote sensing input signal and has nothing to do with the gyroscope and PID, and does not affect the stability of the aircraft's attitude during flight. But this function can greatly improve the tolerance of parameter adjustment.
