Mounting Tips, what happens if the FCs are mounted crooked?-T-Motor Hobby

Many pilots encounter a problem when mounting their flight controls, the electronics are not mounted perfectly horizontally. This can greatly affect your flight performance, so let's test it out!

Let's take the F60Pro V+MINI F7 MPU6000+F60A MINI as an example, currently the installation of the flight control of this airplane has some crookedness, and one side of the shock absorber column is pressed and the other side is not pressed. We can take a test flight to see and analyze the black box of this flight. During the flight, we can hear the sound of some paddle shuffling, and the flight feel is not very easy to follow, especially when the throttle turns, the vibration sound is more obvious. After the flight, we checked the motors, which were also in a very hot condition and impossible to hold by hand.

Next, we adjusted the position of the flight control to be horizontal, and the shock absorber column was also slightly less tight and then made a test flight. Try to make sure the flight control is level when adjusting (if you can't tell visually, try using a screwdriver to compare to see if it's mounted level). After that check all settings and start the test flight. After the test flight, touch the motor with your hand, you will find that the temperature of the motor is much lower than the previous temperature, and you can hold it with your hand.

By the same token, in some cases, the gyros of AIOs (such as our F7 35-45A AIO), are placed at a 45° angle, and if we don't adjust the gyro angle to 45 degrees, the drone will shake if we take off directly. The same thing happens when we mount the flight controls crooked. If the flight control is mounted crookedly, every time the motor exerts force, it will not be in the same drone as the gyroscope, which will cause the misjudgment of the flight control and lead to some shocks. Therefore, it is recommended that when we install the drone, our flight control and ESC must be level, to maximize the performance of the airplane. Or we can isolate the flight control directly. When we are pulling the motor wires, there is a probability that the ESC will be skewed back and forth, and the skewing of the ESC will affect the loosening and tightening of the shock absorber column, and the flight control will follow. We can consider adding 4 nuts to the top of the ESC and 4 nuts to the top of the flight control, which will ensure that the flight control and ESC are on a perfect horizontal drone.
