Single ESC's are typically mounted on each arm or each motor of your drone.Single ESC's are perfect for drones that don't have a lot of space in the center of the frame (electronics stack). The reason of pilots choose to fly single ESC, after a crash or a burnt up ESC, they only have to replace one, not an entire 4-in-1 or stack.
